I hung out some washing this morning but the wind was so strong the pegs couldn't hold it, then it started to rain. From around the country there were stories of high winds blowing lorries over and huge waves along the coast. We were deluged during the day so I didn't venture out until late, when the clouds were lined up parallel to the westerly wind. These photos were taken from the same spot, looking in opposite directions.
