Mixed picture

After heavy rain last night, there was a lot of stratocumulus today - the edges of sheet of it seen here. Above it, scraps of white altocumulus floccus, whisked up by the wind. In the distance, over the coast, cumulus congestus.

Virga in November

Altocumulus floccus clouds with virga (fallstreaks) trailing beneath on a wet Sunday. The streaks of rain dissipate before they reach the ground.
