Hiding the moon
As it got dark, the moon shone brightly for a little while, with just a few wisps of cumulus fractus above. Within half an hour or so, a thin layer of stratocumulus covered the sky and partially obscured it for minutes at a time. It's not as cold as last night but the weather forecast is an 80% probability of freezing conditions tonight.

Late sunrise
I don't often see the sunrise these days but this was late, as it's almost the shortest day. It had been raining overnight, hence drops of water on the window. The stratocumulus was clearing as things warmed up.
